For Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions, Vertex Release Notes communicate changes in behavior, enhancements, and features. In each release, Vertex also improves performance and quality and remediates security vulnerabilities. Release Notes are available on the Vertex Developer Network for all customers regardless of license. For specific information about a specific case, visit the Support section of Vertex Community or contact Customer Support.

Here are the enhancements and resolutions we released for the service in 2026.

  • Added support for sending product commodity codes and types to Vertex O Series, enabling HSN-based tax calculation for Vertex for Marketplaces.
  • Added support for the BQ country code for the Caribbean Netherlands by mapping it to the Vertex country code VX4, reducing transaction errors.
  • Added support for a new India Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN) validation service that provides real-time tax ID validation, SEZ status, business name, and address across all e-commerce endpoints.
  • Fixed an issue where selecting the Valid (syntax) option in the Validation Statuses field of the Tax Number Validator Report caused scheduled reports to fail.
  • Fixed an issue where European Union (EU) business-to-business (B2B) transactions were not tax-exempt when the buyer’s tax number was provided in the buyer-tax-numbers field.
  • Updated the Italian domestic CAPTCHA provider to use syntax-check validation by default, while still allowing EU-level settings to override this behavior when configured.
  • Updated the dashboard to record which user changed a merchant setting, improving audit visibility for configuration changes.

  • Updated the United Kingdom (UK) VAT ID validation to use HMRC's new API across all validation endpoints.

  • Added support to block specific currencies, helping to ensure you accept only active, supported currencies.
  • Blocked transactions using Bulgarian Lev (BGN) while preserving historical BGN activity.
  • Increased retries for invoice delivery webhook notifications to seven.
  • Fixed discrepancies in invoice and refund tax calculations related to rounding and currency conversions.
  • Fixed an issue where saving the invoice settings converted the invoice logo URL to lowercase.
  • Fixed an issue where merchant settings were previously missing.
  • Merchant settings now apply consistently, resolving previous missing settings.

  • Fixed an issue where tax validation results were not visible in the dashboard for sellers, even though validations completed successfully.
  • Added tax ID validation providers for the following countries:

  • Corrected business-to-business (B2B) report filenames so liability transactions now label reports by service rather than seller.
  • Added support for a robust hourly file-based pipeline to accept, validate, and update tax ID records from multiple providers, ensuring reliable database updates, detailed logging, and removal of outdated entries.
  • Improved Oman tax ID validation to ensure consistent results in the standalone Vertex Validator.
  • Removed support for the legacy HTTP async client com.taxamo.apparatus.components.http-async-client. Use taxamo.http-client.interface instead for improved HTTP/2.0 support.
  • Improved error logs so failures now display the correct queue name, making troubleshooting easier.
  • Resolved 500 errors in Singapore LILA business-to-consumer (B2C) rules by applying a default threshold method when reference merchant settings are missing.
