In each release, Vertex also improves performance and quality and remediates security vulnerabilities. Release Notes are available on the Vertex Developer Network for all customers regardless of license. Here are the enhancements and resolutions we released for the service in 2026.

March 19

Version: 2026.6

  • Added support for Vertex VAT Compliance Service in Vertex Cloud to create a unified and seamless user experience for cloud customers.
  • Updated the Swiss business-to-business (B2B) VAT validation to use the official Swiss UID public web service.
  • Fixed an issue in transaction exports that could exclude transactions near the end of the selected date range.
  • Fixed an issue with external unique IDs exceeding the 50-character limit, causing request errors.
  • Fixed an issue where webhook retries could incorrectly lock transactions after a timeout.
  • Updated the API-based scheduled reporting to help ensure scheduled settlement reports are available via API and clearly identifiable in the user interface. This update improves automation and reduces confusion between user-generated and scheduled reports.
  • Updated the VAT ID region determination logic in Vertex Validator to improve validation accuracy.
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect rounding calculations for tax amounts across multiple regions.

February 12

Version: 2026.1

  • Improved how the service connects to Vertex O Series by separating the partition configuration for test and live environments. Previously, both environments shared the same global partition configuration.
  • Improved reporting support by including line-level custom fields mapped to flexible fields in Vertex O Series, extending the existing capabilities that supported only transaction-level custom fields.
  • Fixed an issue that caused test mode notifications to appear in live mode.
  • Fixed an issue that caused a "request was aborted" error when performing a transaction search.
  • Fixed a rounding issue that caused some United States (US) tax calculations to differ by 0.01.
  • The service now includes the last day of the month in India business-to-business (B2B) reports.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented validation results from recording to the database cache.

  • Added VAT ID region determination in Vertex Validator to improve validation accuracy.
  • Added support to automatically convert Bulgarian Lev (BGN) to Euro (EUR).
  • Fixed an issue that caused a NumberFormatException when processing a transaction amount greater than 999.
