Validation Status Values

Use these statuses to filter for specific values for Tax number validation.

You can use these values with the Audit Report UI and the Schedule Report request (in the valdiation-status field):

tax-number-country-blockedThe service blocked the country based on your settings.
tax-number-validation-not-availableThe service doesn't support validation for the tax number.
tax-number-ignoredThe service ignored the tax number based on your configuration (for example, blocked region, country, or seller).
tax-number-syntax-validThe service confirmed that the tax number is valid. However, it didn’t perform further validation. In cases where the service requires a checksum, such as in India, the number is valid if the syntax is valid and the checksum isn’t configured.
tax-number-syntax-invalidThe service determined that the tax number is invalid.
tax-number-syntax-considered-valid-but-not-verifiedThe syntax of the ID is valid. However, no further validations were done.
tax-number-considered-valid-in-domestic-countryThe Tax ID is valid in the domestic country of the supplier.
tax-number-valid-according-to-external-serviceThe Tax ID has been validated against the Tax Authority's database of Tax IDs and is valid.
tax-number-invalid-according-to-external-serviceThe Tax ID has been validated against the Tax Authority's database of Tax IDs and is invalid.
tax-number-validation-requested-additional-interactionsThe Tax Authority has requested additional parameters. For example, a country might require CAPTCHA validation and needs more information before they can validate the ID.
tax-number-service-temporarily-unavailable Could not connect to validation service due to temporary unavailability of the service.
tax-number-syntax-considered-valid-but-not-verifiedThe Tax ID syntax is valid but the ID's status could not be verified by the external service. This occurs when the on-error settings is set to syntax-check and external service does not respond
