VRBL: Formats
Read about the formats that you can use.
All Documents sent to and from Vertex e-Invoicing are formatted in VRBL.
However, certain other formats may require that you include specific information. For example, EN 16931requires that you use values from the UNTDID 7143 list to classify items (as described in the EN 16931: Commodity Classification topic). You define these in your VRBL documents.
More information about formats and compatibility is provided in the VRBL: Formats topic. Some formats, like PEPPOL, are also networks. This is explained in teh VRBL: Networks topic.
The following formats are supported:
VRBL
Vertex Universal Standard (VRBL) is the main format used for all Documents sent to and from Vertex e-Invoicing.
The main requirements are explained in the VRBL: Modeling Overview section.
PEPPOL
As explained in the Networks topic, PEPPOL is a network. However, this network requires some specific formatting. In this sense, PEPPOL is also a format.
The requirements of this format are explained in the PEPPOL: Modeling Overview section.
EN 16931
EN 16931 is a standard format that is used in certain scenarios. It is described in the EN 16931: Modeling Overview section.
