VRBL Developer's Guide Overview

This section describes how to model your e-invoices and credit notes.

Documents is the collective term for the files that you create to represent your e-invoices and credit notes.

You model this in VRBL using the Send Document request. This section describes how to model various information in VRBL.

VRBL basics

The VRBL: Basic Concepts section is intended as an introduction to VRBL and its basic concepts and components.

The VRBL: Document Modeling Overview section contains topics that explain how to model Documents.

You can find examples in the Example Documents topic. These examples vary according to country and type. The information here is intended as general, but you should always check the information for each country that you implement.

If you like, you can try the recipes here to help you get familiar with how VRBL works.

Other formats

Some countries require additional configuration beyond core VRBL. For example, in France, they also support EN 16931 so you need to configure your Tax Categories to ensure your VRBL Documents meet the format's standards. This example is explained in the EN 16931: Tax Categories subsection.

This section also includes the following subsections that cover other formats.

More information is provided in the Formats section of the VRBL Basic Concepts topic and in each country's documentation.
