Mandate information
E-invoicing has been mandatory for all businesses (B2B, B2C, and B2G transactions) in Taiwan since January 2021 under the Electronic Uniform Invoice (eGUI) system. Businesses must submit their invoices to the Ministry of Finance's eGUI platform using a local XML format that conforms to MIG V4.0. This ensures seamless integration with Taiwan's Uniform Invoice Lottery system for consumer tax rebates. Invoices must be delivered to the tax authority within 48 hours after submitting the transaction to the buyer.
The service currently only supports B2C transactions.
Note
Taiwan requires Vertex to do some extra setup so you need to contact Vertex if you want to use Taiwan.
