Communications can be inbound or outbound. Some specifics of the routing configuration may differ depending on the scenario. However, all communications require the routing details that are described in the Routing Overview topic.

Inbound communications

Inbound communications are sent to Vertex e-Invoicing from your applications or from parties like Buyers and Suppliers.

Outbound communications

Outbound communications are sent from Vertex e-Invoicing to other parties such as a Tax Authority, Buyer or Supplier.
